I'm excited to announce I have been selected to participate in the DailyBuzz Style 9x9 polka dot challenge. I was chosen as one of the 9 bloggers styling 9 looks in 9 hours! I feel my sense of style is uncontrived, basic minimalism. I'm not one to follow trends and I like to keep simple basics in my wardrobe so choosing to style and how I would wear polka-dots was quite difficult. But I stepped up to the challenge and found it quite fun! I chose two different looks on how I would wear polka dots. The first look is actually my favorite because the polka dots are the accessory to the outfit. Not the main event if you will. The second outfit is fun and really easy because the coat can be taken off if needed.
A big thanks to DailyBuzz Style for selecting me for this challenge! My post will be featured in a special Top 9 on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, keep an eye out for me!
Sequins add that extra special touch to the holidays. Now is the perfect time to wear them. The vest I'm wearing is from Karen Kane and I love it. They have a whole section devoted to being festive for the holidays by adding sequins or paillettes to your wardrobe collection.

I'm a big beauty junkie. If a beauty product claims to erase lines and uneven skin tone then I'm on board. When I spoke with Julie Macklowe the creator of Vbeauté she stated that this is serious skincare, simplified. Vbeauté is a new concept in serious skincare created for the modern woman. Julie Macklowe created the 'It Kit' after having her toiletries taken at the airport. This led her to initiate global research into high quality skincare and thus, Vbeauté was born. The products, like Julie, are smart, modern, savvy and on-the-go.
I got to interview Julie and ask her a couple of questions.
What was your inspiration to create the It Kit? Julie: "It was on the same trip to Europe, I was determined not to have that happen again. Not only did I want skincare that worked, but I also wanted a simple, travel friendly solution. It 'It Kit' is great skincare, for all skin types, any place and any time."
Since I'm in my early 20's I have issues with acne and breakouts. Do you have products that work on breakouts or trouble skin? Julie: "Rub Off does help and is best used gently with warm water; exfoliation is a great way to clear up problem skin as it allows the pores to release the clogs within the pores. Evidence Eraser is also great because it has a gentle foaming action and is a great every day cleanser. Over drying cleansers often hurt acne more than help them, as they do not allow the skin to properly produce oil and that imbalance results in an overproduction of sebum that may lead to worse problems. I also highly recommend using Lite Up, a serum that is formulated with Niacinamide which helps clear up problem skin areas."
And finally, who is the Vbeauté customer? Julie: "Me. You. Everyone. The modern woman who wants great skincare made for them, not their mother."
